Our Approach

Virgin Mediao2

Implementation of Honeywell MaxPro Cloud system across the Virgin Media O2 UK estate.

The VMo2 estate encompasses approximately 600 buildings, serving the telecommunication needs of a significant segment of the United Kingdom. A security audit revealed that the existing software used to monitor their Honeywell intruder system was aging and in need of upgrading.

Our Approach

Introduction

Following discussions with the client, a consensus was reached that Honeywell's MaxPro Cloud, a web-based monitoring platform, would be the most suitable solution to meet the client's requirements.

Our approach

Organise

We engaged with Honeywell and collaboratively devised a pathway that would enable us to deliver this solution to the customer.

Remote surveys were conducted at each site using the existing data network to gather information about the current hardware. Utilising this data, we proposed necessary upgrades to the client to ensure the hardware meets the required specifications.

Our approach

Installation

The customer had around 400 monitored sites, but the existing hardware was not compatible with MaxPro Cloud.

To integrate each intruder alarm panel into the platform, it was necessary to replace the Ethernet Module.

On each site, we installed Honeywell Ethernet Modules. The primary challenge we encountered was the diverse geographical locations of each site. To overcome this challenge, we leveraged our network of national engineers to perform installations in their respective geographical locations. This approach maximised efficiency.

Our Approach

Completetion

The project concluded at the end of 2023, with successful upgrades implemented across more than 400 sites. As a result, the client now benefits from enhanced visibility into the status of each intruder alarm system across their estate.
