Our Approach

Luton Police Custody Suite

Designing, installing, and commissioning a security package for a refurbishment at Luton Policy Custody Suite.

Bedfordshire Police required a specialised security system that could deliver a significant technical refresh to match the Tremorfa Tasicca systems already installed at Bedfordshire’s Kempston HQ.

Our Approach

Early Engagement

Bedfordshire Police engaged Tremorfa’s specialist security team to upgrade their custodial security, safety and CCTV systems in Luton.

It was imperative that the custody centre was re-opened by the end of April 2025. Undertaking a significant refurbishment of such critical safety systems in existing estate is often a challenge. Tremorfa have completed multiple refurbishments across the Bluelight estate and confidently deliver on time and on budget. The Tremorfa installation team worked tirelessly to deliver quality for the client and a timely completion.

Our Approach

Specialist Contractors & Process

Tremorfa's specialist security team specialises in security installation from project inception, installation through to maintenance. The scope of services provided was design development, cabling, call points, CCTV upgrade and new server capability. Tremorfa collaborated with a contractor completing flood restoration work to deliver a fully refurbished and improved suite ready for April 2025 opening.

Our Approach

Success

Delivering excellence quietly is what we do. Our commitment to supporting clients who have specialist security requirements is nationwide. Tremorfa are particularly proud to be recognised by Secured by Design (SBD) for the design, delivery and maintenance of our electronic security systems. Secured by Design is the flagship UK police initiative to help “design out” crime by using high quality, innovative products and processes. All Tremorfa’s installations are designed and developed within the rigorous SBD standards. During this project, Tasicca “soft landing” documents were updated to enhance the training experience for the client. This provides further evidence of Tremorfa’s continued commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in the sector.

The Tremorfa installation team worked tirelessly to deliver quality for the client and a timely completion. The suite has now reopened and features in Channel 4’s landmark documentary series “24 hours in police custody”.

Testimonial

“Thanks Tony and all the team at Tremorfa for another slick project install for us at Beds Police. Keeping the project on track to avoid any delays reopening custody, even with the increases in scope, it’s a huge achievement for which we were grateful.”

Lorraine Chown, Head of Estates and Facilities, Bedfordshire Police.
